THE GWHQ PEOPLE JOURNEY

The people side of your business, built and backed.

Fractional HR and People strategy for small and mid-size businesses.

SIT with This

Is your hiring planned or reactive?
Does every new hire, employee or contractor, start with the same clarity?
Is every performance concern handled the same way?
Do you know who your next leaders are?

If any of these questions gave you pause, you have found the handoffs where growing businesses lose ground: a role filled before it was defined, a first day spent waiting for a login and a clear answer, an employment decision made on instinct and documented after the fact, and a strong performer drifting because no one mapped what comes next. Each gap looks small on its own, and together they quietly become your operating culture.

The People Journey closes those gaps by building the people side of your business around how you operate, where you are going, and the experience your brand promises. Your employees experience your brand before your customers do, so the way you hire, welcome, manage, develop, and part ways with people should reflect it while protecting the business from avoidable risk.

The People Journey

HOW I WORK

The infrastructure creates consistency across the employee journey, and ongoing counsel helps your leaders apply it to the situations that surface as you grow.

In the Field

An experiential marketing agency with 10 employees and a 20-person contingent workforce needed a single people strategy that held across both, and I built one that brought full-time and contingent talent under the same structure.

A 20-person digital agency was losing people as fast as it could hire them, with salaries, promises, reporting lines, and account assignments decided case by case. I operationalized its People function, bringing consistency to how the agency hired, paid, managed, and staffed its teams, and was brought back for a second engagement to resolve conflict among department heads.

A founder-led, private equity–backed secret shopper network needed to keep its people, win back former employees, and grow referrals from its own workforce. I designed an employee recognition and incentive program built to do all three.

Across engagements like these, clients have moved from reactive to proactive hiring and seen stronger engagement, higher productivity, and improved client satisfaction.

Meet Geneèn

Geneèn Wright is a Workforce Strategist and Organizational Anthropologist with more than 15 years of experience building the people systems organizations need to operate and grow. As Global Client People Lead at WPP/Burson, and in roles at Omnicom brand agencies Interbrand and Siegel+Gale, she led People strategy and talent systems across global teams and supported organizations through mergers and transformation. Trained in anthropology and history, she reads the business, workplace, and market conditions that shape how people work, then designs the infrastructure that connects business needs to how people are hired, managed, developed, and supported. Since founding her practice in 2012, she has brought that same rigor to growing and founder-led companies.
